So, I’ve survived my first week in Pittsburgh. The bus system here is SUCH a bust. It’s hard to make the transfers sometimes, but I’ve at least got the morning ones down. Once I get the evening ones, I should be fine. I thought I’d have it figured out by now, but I’m still making mistakes and finding myself getting lost, freaking out, and being upset with myself. It’s really scary to be lost in downtown Pittsburgh, 5 minutes away from the bus leaving and being stranded there. Eeek.
Once I actually make it to the place, it’s great! I love all the people and the atmosphere in general of the place I am working. It’s really great.
Once my project gets done, I’ll link you guys to some of the materials that explain what I do (if you’re interested). It’s confusing for people not in the field, so I haven’t decided if I will post it yet or not. Do you have any thoughts?
I’m still trying to decide on what phone I want to get. I’m down between these three: Razzle, Cosmos, and the Exilim. Do you guys have or know anyone who has any of these phones? I have no idea what I want. I know that really, I want an iPhone, but I can’t afford the plans that go with those so for now, I think I am sticking with Verizon. I don’t want the data plan though, so that limits the choice of phones that I can get.
Alright, I am off to prepare for another crazy work week. Wish me luck!!

Hey chic. Glad to hear you like pittsburgh so far. Ya downtown is crazy. I live about 20 minutes from there. I hate driving down there in my vehicle though because there’s tons of one way streets and it still confuses me.
Good luck with geting a new phone.
I’m glad you changed your url now. i actually couldn’t comment in your original url. And I love this layie better. It looks so much better
I actually haven’t heard of any of the phones you’ve just mentioned so i can’t really tell you which one I prefer.
I have never heard of any of those phones, but they do sound quite fancy. I don’t have Verizon because I could only get service in certain parts of my town.
I’m happy that you’re enjoying your job even though the ride sounds rough. It’s always good to enjoy what you’re doing!!
hey! I have no thoughts on the phones, sorry.
I’ve got my iPhone and very fond of it. (Ariela, I did not get the top model one,
and will most likely keep this one for a long time.) Bu Apple does like to innovate.
As to your work, I can only imagine what it could be about, but bring it on — always fun to see what people are doing. Brain surgery research group project? Setting up art museums? Training for people putting together jungle gyms?
Never been to Pittsburg. Best of luck on the evening routes. You’ll get it down pat soon, if you haven’t already!!
xo
I’m sure you will get a handle on the bus systems soon. They can be scary at first. In my city they have partnered up with Google Maps so I just go to maps.google.ca and type in where I am, where I want to go, and what time I want to be there. It tells me what buses to take and what time to catch them. It made my life so much easier.
Good luck with your upcoming work week (or current one now I guess lol).
I forgot to mention not to waste your money on an iphone. It’s not worth it! Apple changes technology more than most women change shoes. LOL.
I checked out the Razzle phone. It’s quite a scary looking phone. Ha. I thought the Cosmos phone was a nice phone. Have you considered going to another company? Shop around! =p
The bus system is scary as heck! Especially in a downtown area. I live in LA and I’m used to walking everywhere so when I finally road the bus on my first day of school I got lost. LOL. I hope it all pans out for you. And congrats on the internship!
As for phones, that’s a good question. I have no idea. I’ve never even heard of those phones. LOL. I’m a t-mobile sidekick kind of girl. Hehe. I love my sidekick. It costs a pretty penny but it does everything I need. I have a data plan. It’s 20 dollars a month plus 40 dollars for the phone plan. I pay like 65 bucks a month.
The biggest fear I have of moving to a big city is public transportation, lol. So many people, buses, subways, just thinking about navigating my way through it is overwhelming! So I sympathize with you. It’s got to be exciting though, too, having so much going on around you. Glad to hear you’re enjoying it!
As for phones, I’m not the person to ask. I keep it simple, if it works, I’ll use it, lol.
I’m glad that you’re having a blast at work! Hehe! Sorry to hear about public transportation… I think that goes for most places though. =/
Hmm, it doesn’t hurt to link some of the stuff that explains what you do… I mean, maybe some people will get it, you’ll never know until you try, kind of thing. LOL.
As for phones, I don’t use Verizon, so I don’t know many of their phones, but I did look at the links you had up. The only phone whose design I semi-liked was the Exilim. Hehe. The 2nd choice would be the Cosmos. Yeah, I don’t have a data plan either, so it is hard to pick a phone. Stupid phones costing so much, as well as the data plans. =( Hehe.
Good luck with work!
